A long time ago during the success of Nintendo. Seven sages created a world. But its not a ordinary world this world is for Nintendo characters that have been Forgotten.
Locations

Fungi Town: The mushroom town of the Nintendo wasteland. This represents Super Mario Bros.
Koholint Island: The island from Link's Awakening.
Fantasy Meadows: The beautiful meadows of Kirby Air Ride.
Cornerio S33: The futuristic city representing Metroid,Star Fox and F-Zero
Pokemal Village: A village that represents Pokemon and Animal Crossing
Bonga Jungle Island: A jungle island that represents Donkey Kong and Yoshi.

Past characters: Characters like Balloon Boy and the Ice Climbers who didn't make more games or forgotten after their debut are send into the Nintendo wasteland.
Rejected characters: Characters that were suppose to be in a game that are scrapped or the game is cancel are sent to the wasteland.
Concept art of Nintendo characters or past looks: Nintendo characters with original concept art that was never use or past looks that were replace by their current looks are sent to the Wasteland.
Japan only characters: Characters that never made it to america (excluding Marth) could be in the wasteland as well.
