Is Epic Yarn an Epic Yawn?
« on: January 17, 2011, 06:10:29 pm »
No hate to the game or Kirby but Epic Yarn wasn't really one of his best. Kirby's key abilities such as sucking up enemies was taken out. Not only that but you could easily complete the game in six hours if you wanted to.

The game is made very easy by the fact that it is impossible to die. I think Kirby has had better games to tell you the truth and I was pretty dissapointed with how short the game was.

Kirby has had better games but I wouldn't say Epic Yarn was a bad game. It could have been longer though.

You suck  >:( ... joking, you're entitled to your opinion. Of course I disagree with you entirely. Even though you can't die in the game you lose coins if you get hit. So it is actually difficult because you can challenge yourself to get through the levels without loosing any coins.

I understand where you are coming from but Kirby games were never really that hard anyway but this one is by far the easiest.
3DS games I want: Paper Mario, Mario Kart, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear Solid.

Price wise I guess it is a bit of a bummer especially when you could buy an RPG and get about sixty hours worth of gameplay instead of 6.

I'm actually impressed with the gameplay, it was really innovative and new but the game was just too easy and boring because of it. I hardly lost any beads.

I think this was more of an introductory Kirby game for noobs. The newly announced Kirby game looks more for **** gamers.

I'm hoping for the same thing, if Kirby games start heading down the Epic Yarn direction I'm going to be seriously annoyed. Epic Yarn was all right for a one off but we need a return to the epic kirby games like Chrystal shards.

Epic Yarn had a lot of things that sort of made up for the easiness and the lack of being able to die. It had an awesome graphical style and it was a completely new take on the Kirby genre.

No it wasn't an epic yawn (lol) but it could have been more... what's the word... '****' if you like.
